How to Deal With Your Family on Facebook (with Pictures)

Facebook: The social networking website that all your friends - and your family members - use. So, have an annoying sibling that loves to complain about you? Nosy parents? Protective cousins or uncle/aunt? And all of them are on Facebook. Here's how you can deal with it.
STEPS

1
CREATE A SEPARATE GROUP FOR FAMILY. For simplicity's sake, let's call it "Family". Do this by opening your chat and going to "Friend Lists" and create your family group. You can drag and drop people into this list.

2
GO TO YOUR PRIVACY SETTINGS (SETTINGS > PRIVACY SETTINGS > PROFILE). For each section, choose "Customize" from the drop-down menu and make it so that anyone in the group "Family" can't see it.

3
WHEN FAMILY MEMBERS REQUEST TO BE YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK, MAKE SURE YOU PUT THEM IN THE "FAMILY" GROUP WHEN YOU ACCEPT TO KEEP THEM SEPARATE FROM EVERYONE ELSE!

4
ASK ONE OF YOUR EXISTING FRIENDS TO TEST THE PRIVACY FOR YOU. Add them to the "Family" group and then ask them to poke through your profile. To them, it should appear to be a very boring profile, because they can't see any pictures, status updates, etc. That's what your family will see.

How to Add Friends on Facebook: 6 Steps

Friends are the backbone of your Facebook experience. Adding friends gives you more people to interact with and a richer news feed full of differing opinions and thoughts. Facebook has streamlined the friend request process, making it quicker than ever. Read this guide to find out how to increase the size of your friend list.
STEPS
PART 1 OF 2: SENDING A REQUEST
1
FIND THE PERSON YOU WANT TO ADD. You can use the search bar at the top of the Facebook page to search for anyone that uses Facebook by name or email address. Click on the result to load that person’s timeline.
You can also navigate to a person’s timeline by clicking on their name in a post.
2
SEE HOW YOU KNOW THEM. When you visit a person’s timeline, you can see what mutual friends you may share. This can be useful for remembering how you know someone.
3
CLICK ON THE ADD FRIEND BUTTON. The Add Friend button is located in two different places on the person’s timeline. You can find one button to the right of the person’s name at the top of the page. You can find the other button at the top of the timeline, in the “Do you know ?” box. This button is green.
When you click the Add Friend button, it will change to the Friend Request Sent button. Clicking on this button will open a menu of actions you can take, such as canceling the friend request or suggesting more friends to your new friend.
4
WAIT FOR THE PERSON TO ACCEPT YOUR FRIEND REQUEST. Enjoy connecting with your new friend!
PART 2 OF 2: ACCEPTING A REQUEST
1
RECEIVE A FRIEND REQUEST. Depending on your Facebook settings, you may receive an email when a friend request is sent to you. If you don’t have email notifications enabled, you will see a message in your notifications section of Facebook, and a red icon will appear under the Friends button at the top of the page.
2
CLICK CONFIRM TO ADD THE PERSON AS A FRIEND. The Confirm button will change into a Friends dropdown menu. You can place the new friend in a specific list, choose which updates you want to receive, or remove them from your friends list.
TIPS
If you don't recognize or know the person, it's best to send them a message to ask who they are. Always look for "mutual friends", as they may be a friend of one of your friends.

How to Choose a Video Game: 6 Steps

Do you need a new video game for your game console? Here's a way to pick the perfect game for you.
STEPS
1
FIND A GAME YOU ALREADY OWN. Go to that distributors website (you can usually find the URL on the back of the box somewhere, but if its not there, just search their name on Google).
2
NAVIGATE TO THEIR HOME PAGE. This should have advertisements for other games. Surf through them until you find a game you like the look of. The games on the company website should be similar to the one you already own and like.
Search the name of a game you already have. It may turn out there are sequels for that game.
Look up Game-Rankings. This website usually has a variety of reviews, with links to top-rated games. This is always an easy way to find good games.
Be adventurous. Follow a random selection of links from the website you are on, until you find a game you've never heard of before.
3
ONCE YOU\'VE FOUND A GAME YOU LIKE THE LOOK OF, PURCHASE IT FROM A GAME SALES WEBSITES, OR GET THEM SECOND HAND FROM AUCTION WEBSITES.
Large chain stores usually have a wide selection of games, and if you're uncomfortable about or unable to purchase online you can browse through their selection, or ask the clerks for games they'd recommend.
4
READ REVIEWS! It's very hard because lots of people have different opinions. For the best results go on websites you trust! Nintendo, for example.
If there are lots of bad comments coming up, look for a different game. If there are fair ratings and quite a few good comments coming up, though, go for it!
5
MAKE SURE THE GAME IS IN GOOD CONDITION! Pre-owned may be cheap, but the game could be ruined or just really badly scratched. If you buy a poor condition game, go to the game store you bought it from, and have it replaced, refunded or fixed.
6
ASK EXPERTS FOR ADVICE. Ask a pro gamer about the best games and where he saw some good prices and brilliant condition games. Also ask employees of gaming stores.
Also ask them about special sales and any offers, in conjunction with the purchase of the game you buy.
TIPS
Don't just look at the Game's ranking; read the review. It will tell you things about the game you can't glean from a number.
You don't have to order games online, you can get them at the store.
Don't bother with reviews that have less than 3/4 of the full mark (3/5, 7/10, etc). A great site for game reviews is GameZone.com. Other wise these are generally a waste of time. But remember, some of them _are_ opinions, so sometimes being adventurous can mean you encounter a fantastic game you've never known about!
Purchasing from a store has the added advantage of giving you the chance to demo the games before you buy.
WARNINGS
Games for different systems don't cost the same. Beware the price.
Some Games sites do not offer refunds. If you can, ask around for peer reviews before you buy, so you don't end up with a game you don't want.

METHOD 4 OF 4: FROSTING AND TOPPING IDEAS FOR STRAWBERRY CUPCAKES
Here are a few topping ideas. If using icing or frosting, choose either white, pink or strawberry red for the colors.
1
MAKE A FRESH STRAWBERRY TOPPING. Frost or ice the cupcake with frosting of choice and add fresh strawberries:

Add a whole strawberry or half a strawberry. Either stand up the strawberry or lay on its side.

Add a strawberry fan. Cut a strawberry into a fan shape and arrange on the frosting or icing fanned out.

Cut the real strawberry into a shape, such as a heart shape.
Dip real strawberries in chocolate, allow to set and place on the cupcakes.
2
MOLD A STRAWBERRY USING RED FONDANT, SUGAR PASTE OR MARZIPAN. Frost or ice each cupcake and add a strawberry figure to each one.
3
ADD AN EDIBLE STRAWBERRY CANDY TO THE FROSTING OR ICING.

4
ADD PUREED STRAWBERRY TO THE ICING SUGAR OR CONFECTIONERS SUGAR. Once mixed to a decent consistency, add to the cupcakes as usual.
5
ICE OR FROST THE CUPCAKES WITH STRAWBERRY RED CUPCAKES. Pipe small melted chocolate "pips" across the red surface at even spaces. Add a green candy leaf or green fondant leaf at the "top" of the strawberry.
TIPS
To test cupcakes, stick a skewer or a butter knife into the cupcake. If it comes out clean, the cupcakes are ready. If it comes out moist, more baking time is needed.
